My eighth Lino cut in a series of 12 prints I created in 2023 of seasonal British wild flowers. This is August: Common Ragwort. Ragwort is poisonous to cattle and horses, so understandably it's often removed by farmers and land owners. BUT it is an essential plant for many pollinators, and the sole source of food for caterpillars of the Cinnabar Moth, now in decline here in the UK. You might spot a tiny striped caterpillar working it's way up the stem!
